A visita do GPC ao GPPSD
No dia 28 de março, tive o privilégio de acompanhar a visita do Grupo de Plastimodelismo de Campinas (GPC) à sede do Grupo de Plastimodelismo e Pesquisa Santos Dumont (GPPSD), em São Paulo. Foi uma daquelas ocasiões em que o hobby deixa de ser apenas sobre miniaturas, e se transforma em um verdadeiro encontro de amizade e paixão compartilhada.
Logo na chegada, a recepção calorosa dos membros do GPPSD já dava o tom do dia: um ambiente descontraído, cheio de histórias e risadas.
O mais marcante, porém, não foram apenas os modelos e kits, mas as conversas que surgiam em torno deles. Técnicas de pintura, dicas de montagem, curiosidades históricas e até debates sobre novos lançamentos do mercado, e os eventos de plastimodelismo. Era impossível não se sentir inspirado diante de tanta dedicação e talento reunidos.
Entre um café e outro, ficou claro que esse encontro não era apenas uma visita, mas uma celebração daquilo que une todos nós: o amor pelo plastimodelismo. A troca de experiências fortaleceu ainda mais os laços entre os grupos e deixou no ar a expectativa de futuras parcerias, como workshops e exposições conjuntas.
Ao final do dia, a sensação era de gratidão. Gratidão por fazer parte de uma comunidade que valoriza tanto a história, a arte e a amizade. A visita do GPC ao GPPSD foi mais do que um evento, foi um lembrete de que o plastimodelismo é, acima de tudo, uma ponte que conecta pessoas e gerações.
The GPC Visit to GPPSD
On March 28th, I had the privilege of joining the Campinas Scale Modeling Group (GPC) on their visit to the headquarters of the Santos Dumont Research and Scale Modeling Group (GPPSD) in São Paulo. It was one of those occasions when the hobby goes beyond miniatures, becoming a true gathering of friendship and shared passion.
Right from the arrival, the warm welcome from GPPSD members set the tone for the day: a relaxed atmosphere, full of stories and laughter.
What stood out the most, however, wasn’t just the models and kits, but the conversations that unfolded around them. Painting techniques, assembly tips, historical curiosities, debates about new market releases, and upcoming scale modeling events filled the air. It was impossible not to feel inspired by so much dedication and talent gathered together.
Between cups of coffee, it became clear that this meeting was more than just a visit — it was a celebration of what unites us all: the love for scale modeling. The exchange of experiences further strengthened the bonds between the groups and sparked expectations for future collaborations, such as workshops and joint exhibitions.
By the end of the day, the feeling was one of gratitude. Gratitude for being part of a community that values history, art, and friendship. The GPC’s visit to GPPSD was more than an event; it was a reminder that scale modeling is, above all, a bridge that connects people and generations.
