Federation Tank (AAT) – Star Wars Episódio I (AMT)
Existem modelos que montamos pelo desafio técnico, outros pela estética, e alguns que ocupam um lugar especial na nossa bancada por causa da história que carregam. O Federation Tank (AAT) da AMT que apresento hoje faz parte desse último grupo.
Este kit foi um marco importante na minha trajetória como plastimodelista. Mais do que um projeto, ele foi o presente de um grande amigo que, sabendo da minha paixão pelo universo de Star Wars, decidiu incentivar o hobby com essa peça icônica do Episódio I.
Montar esse blindado da Federação do Comércio trouxe à tona toda a nostalgia de A Ameaça Fantasma e reforçou como o plastimodelismo é, acima de tudo, uma forma de materializar as histórias que amamos.
There are models we build for the technical challenge, others for their aesthetics, and some that hold a special place on our workbench because of the story they carry. The Federation Tank (AAT) from AMT that I present today belongs to that last group.
This kit was a milestone in my journey as a scale modeler. More than just a project, it was a gift from a great friend who, knowing my passion for the Star Wars universe, decided to encourage the hobby with this iconic piece from Episode I.
Building this Trade Federation armored vehicle brought back all the nostalgia of The Phantom Menace and reinforced how scale modeling is, above all, a way of materializing the stories we love.
O Modelo e a Montagem
The Model and the Build
O kit da AMT, apesar de exigir aquela atenção típica nos encaixes e linhas de fechamento, oferece uma excelente base para o trabalho de weathering. Para este projeto, foquei em:
Pintura: Tons de bege e areia fiéis aos utilizados em Naboo.
Envelhecimento: Desgastes operacionais, acúmulo de poeira nas bases e marcas de fuligem nos canhões laterais.
Acabamento: Filtros para dar profundidade às curvas orgânicas do design Separatista.
The AMT kit, although requiring the usual attention to fittings and seam lines, provides an excellent base for weathering work. For this project, I focused on:
- Painting: Beige and sand tones faithful to those used on Naboo.
- Weathering: Operational wear, dust accumulation on the lower sections, and soot marks on the side cannons.
- Finishing: Filters to add depth to the organic curves of the Separatist design.
